In recent times, becoming a PR in US can be very complicated especially for international students. The EB3 visa is one of the ways F1 students can use to become a PR in U.S. However, considering the current retrogression, it could take as long as 5-10 years to obtain the EB3 visa. Considering these challenges in the U.S. immigration, most people especially healthcare workers are moving to Canada where you can become a Permanent Residence in as little as 6 months.
In the link below, Nurse Krisit shares a summary of how she left the United states as an F1 visa student/ international student to become a permanent resident in Canada as a U.S. trained registered nurse. She highlights the process including taking her IELTS, writing NCLEX, filling in the Canada Express entry and her Canada visa application process. Watch here
